JTG
vs. Chavo Guerrero:   This is a Superstars mini-feud going back a few months. JTG wants to wrestle with the shades on; Chavo complains so JTG puts them on referee Charles Robinson. Funny. JTG uses the distraction to attack Chavo who then complains to the referee. Chavo tries a cheap boot but JTG catches it and winds up on the floor. Basement dropkick by Chavo and then punches in the corner but JTG comes back. Chavo keeps JTS down with punches into his face he segues into an armbar and a front facelock. JTG comes back with an elbow and punches away; he hits flipping clothesline and a backdrop. Mug Shot only gets two for JTG; I thought that was his finisher. Chavo delivers a short-arm spinning wheel kick and follows up with the Three Amigos but JTG counters the third. Chavo boots him in the corner and climbs up; he counters a JTG superplex attempt by slingshot clotheslining JTG off the top. Frogsplash connects for three. 4/10 I like Chavo so this win was good for him. Fitting he would win on Old School week.

Trent Barreta vs. Curt Hawkins:   Wow, Curt owns wrestling trunks! They are extremely similar to Justin Gabriel’s (including the kick pads) except they are aqua instead of fuchsia. I think the Dudebuster is the face here. They run the ropes including some nice dropdowns and Barreta gets a reverse elbow; followed by a rolling senton by Trent. Barreta telegraphs a corner charge; Hawkins moves and Trent knees the top turnbuckle and spills to the floor. Side headlock by Hawkins as Matt Striker and Todd Grisham argue over who trained Curt Hawkins. Hawkins hits a unique clothesline; as Barreta bounces off the ropes Curt slides under the bottom rope clotheslining his legs and causing Trent to fall flat on his face. Nice vertical suplex by Hawkins and back to the chinlock. Trent back suplexes out. Barreta comes back with a Hart Attack-like clothesline and a springboard dropkick for two. Curt lands a strange suplex whereas he places Barreta’s leg over his shoulder and flips him over onto his face for two. Mount punches by Hawkins but Trent interrupts the elbow off the top with a top-rope hurracanrana. Trent Barreta hits a rope-assisted rebound tornado DDT (slightly botched) for three. 5/10 Some unique offense by both guys; decent match figured Hawkins was going over since he recently turned on his tag partner and as far as I know the Dudebusters are still together.

CM Punk comes out for color commentary for the OLD SCHOOL Raw portion of the show with Scott Stanford.

Yoshi Tatsu vs. Primo (w/AJ):   Primo starts out with a knee to the gut; Primo tosses him out but Yoshi recovers and rebounds back in to a roll-up for two. Headlock takeover by Yoshi; AJ is in Primo’s corner staring longingly at him and looking like she is thirteen. CM Punk demands Scott Stanford call him “Mr. Punk”. Yoshi hits a spinning wheel kick as Mr. Punk calls it, “whatta maneuver!” Awesome. Tatsu kicks away and hits the springboard reverse elbow. Primo winds up by the announce position where Mr. Punk says “watch out… it’s an old school table.” During the commercial Primo clobbered Yoshi with a “stiff lariat” sayeth Mr. Punk. We return to a chinlock and double boot eye rake. Primo hangs Tatsu on the ropes and slides out of the ring off Tatsu’s back and gets a high five from Mr. Punk. Yoshi hits a desperation cross boy for two and Mr. Punk says “he got ‘em! He got ‘em! No, no he didn’t.” It’s a shame that barely anyone watches this show because they are missing some classic stuff from Mr. Punk. Primo gets the advantage back and tries a superplex but Yoshi shoves him off ant hits a top-rope samurai leg kick for three. 7/10 Pretty good match that proves entertaining commentary (Mr. Punk) can bring a decent match up to entertaining.

Melina & Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox & Maryse:   Alicia has such generic music but it sticks in my head for some reason. Melina starts off with a split-legged arm drag and a dropkick to Alicia Fox; double knee strike to the back while Alicia is draped on the ropes. Mr. Punk keeps messing up Scott Stanford’s name as Alicia is arm cranked into a basement dropkick by Gail Kim. Alicia counters a turnbuckle shot but gets sunset flipped off a suplex attempt; arm drag by Gail. Maryse tags in and get dropkicked; Alicia tries to interfere with Gail on the apron but she hurracanranas her off the apron to the floor. Maryse uses the distraction to DDT Gail on her way back into the ring. The heels lift Gail straight up in the air and just let her go so she falls back first on the mat. Gail and Maryse quick-tag in and out; chinlock by Alicia as the fans chant “CM Punk”. Alicia cuts off a tag via a hair pull. Gail turns a missed clothesline into a reverse neckbreaker. Double tags are made and Melina beats on Maryse, including a Matrix avoid to a clothesline. Melina hits a second-rope seated senton but Alicia Fox breaks up the cover. Gail Kim takes out Alicia; Maryse misses a kick and Melina rolls her up (screaming) for three. 5.5/10 Fun Divas tag match. Decent main event Mr. Punk was funny in this match as well.

OVERALL 5/10 Fun show as usual; need to see (and hear) Mr. Punk’s awesome commentary for the second half of the show. His banter with Scott Sampson is priceless.
