Happy Thanksgiving to all!!

Trent Barreta vs. Curt Hawkins:   Rematch from last week. Hawkins forces into the corner and no clean break; he nails a vertical suplex. A side headlock takeover by Hawkins; Barreta tries a comeback but gets a shoulderblock. Barreta counters with a hurracanrana that nearly decapitates Hawkins on the landing; clothesline sends Hawkins to the floor. Trent Barreta follows with a 360 senton over the top to Hawkins on the floor. Hawkins however has the wherewithal to drop-toe hold Barreta into the ring barricade. Back from commercial Hawkins tries a back leg trip for two. Chinlock applied by Hawkins; Curt suplexes Barreta to the apron but Trent catches a charging Hawkins with a knee followed by a rope-assisted jumping guillotine legdrop that sends Hawkins to the floor. They brawl in the ring and Trent hits a Hart Attack clothesline he follows up with a high knee into a springboard missile dropkick. Trent rolls up Hawkins out of the corner for two; Trent runs the ropes right into a Hawkins unique Brock Lock-type of suplex for two. Back suplex plants Barreta but Hawkins misses the Heat Seeking Elbow. Barreta lands a running knee strike for two. Hawkins counters the springboard DDT and lands a swinging face breaker for three. 6.5/10 Good match that gives Curt Hawkins a needed win; lots of unique ROH-like offense in this one.

Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Zack Ryder & Primo:   Kozlov starts off verses Ryder; woo woo woo gets his ass whipped whipped whipped so he tags Primo. Smartly Primo mocks Santino to draw him into the ring so he does not get HIS ass whipped by Kozlov as well. They show some guy in the crowd chanting “Cobra” WHILE ON HIS CELLPHONE! Try explaining that one away. They do some nice takedown sequences including a Sambo takedown by Santino. Kozlov comes back in and beats the tar out of Primo; Santino returns and applies a chicken wing. Primo gets the advantage back with a snap suplex. Ryder tags in and charges into a drop-toe hold but he retains the advantage and adds knee drops. Santino blocks a forearm and sends Ryder to the floor; Kozlov extricates Primo from the ring. Back from commercial somehow Primo is in control; I was at the Jets game yesterday (not a Jets fan) and all I can think about while recapping this match is Primo Italian Sausage. Hiptoss gets Santino free but misses the diving salute. Ryder sends Santino into the corner chest first and Primo applies a chinlock RIGHT IN FRONT OF KOZLOV. Primo tags Ryder and they work on Santino’s back; Primo applies another chicken wing. He breaks out and tags Vladimir who head-butts everyone in sight. Running powerslam to Primo but Ryder breaks up the three count; Kozlov takes Ryder and himself to the floor via clothesline. Santino, having tagged, rushes in hits a split-legged stunner and hits the Cobra for three. 5/10 Fun match and Santino is fun and he and Kozlov are great together and are SO OVER. Plus Kozlov rules when he is all smiley.

Mark Henry vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso (w/ Tamina) two on one handicap match:   Another rematch from a few weeks ago; Henry clearly pissed, wearing black again. Jey starts off and gets flung into the corner; he then shoulderblocks him and STANDS on him. Jimmy tags in and gets more of the same. They both try to take him out and Mark fends them both off. Tamina ascends to the apron and kicks Henry in the back of the head; no effect but it does allow the Usos to take over. Henry misses an avalanche and Jimmy takes his leg out. Jimmy hits the Rikishi corner butt splash followed by Jey doing the same for one. Front facelock by Jey Uso; Jerry Lawler mentions that due to his match Henry has not had he Thanksgiving turkey yet and therefore is rightly pissed. Henry misses the splash and Jimmy lands a head-butt and a basement clothesline; double elbow. Henry presses out of another front facelock; Jimmy tags in but gets clotheslined and head-butted. Jey tries a cheap shot; Henry brings both Usos in and stacks them up and Death From Above. He picks up Jimmy and the World’s Strongest Slam finishes for three. 4/10 Henry gets his heat back from a few weeks ago; almost a squash kind of disappointing considering the Usos have promise as a tag team (despite the division being “dead” once again).

OVERALL 5.5/10 Decent holiday show, too bad they wasted a good Barreta/Hawkins match when everyone is basically in a food coma.
