Barreta grabs a side headlock; Reks fires him off and shoulderblocks him. Tyler begins the beat down but Barreta shoulderblocks Reks down and hits a rolling senton. Side headlock by Trent; Reks drives him into the corner and pounds on him. Tyler tosses Barreta into the corner but he slides in to counter and dropkicks Reks. Tyler Reks shrugs it off and continues the pounding until he misses a knee and Barreta hurracanranas him. Cactus clothesline puts Reks on the floor but Barreta on the apron; Asai moonsault DDT follows. Nice. Trent may have injured his ribs there; back in the ring, Reks rams Barreta into the corner. Short clothesline by Reks as Matt Striker and Curt Hawkins discuss top-rope elbow drops. Striker mentions Shawn Michaels made top-rope elbows famous in the WWE; somewhere in Sarasota, Florida Randy Savage just threw a chair across the room. Reks slingshots Barreta off the top rope to counter a comeback. Back from commercial, Reks hits a face-first suplex into a bearhug. Trent punches his way out but Reks hits a reverse driving stand-up DDT and goes right back to the bearhug. Gut wrench over-the-shoulder gutbuster by Reks gets two; Barreta comes back with a slingshot magistal cradle from the apron for two. Barreta flips out of a backdrop suplex and hits a step-up enziguri and follows up with a running corner knee and the Gobstopper (jumping knee strike) for two. Tyler Reks sends Barreta into the corner where he hits a springboard dropkick for two. Reks backdrops Barreta face first into the top turnbuckle and finishes with the burning hammer DDT for three. 4.5/10 Good match; Reks looked impressive in the win and Barreta keeps showing why he is the breakout Dudebuster.

Darren Young vs. William Regal: Young’s entrance music is weird and has SHORTER HAIR. Wait… I though Regal retired; why was he not at the King of the Ring tournament? Young flips out of an armbar and applies a side headlock. Regal shows him how mat work is done and applies an armbar; Regal forces him into the corner. Regal charges twice but finds Young’s boot; Darren charges out of the corner right into an elbow smash. Regal uses the knees and kicks at his face in the corner. Young fired back and hits some European uppercuts and hits a vertical suplex for two. Flying clothesline by Young and gets another two. Regal retreats to the corner. Young charges, Regal avoids and he posts his shoulder. Regal segues into the Regal Stretch for the submission. 5/10 Wow, that match was a blur. I think I’ve seen Darren Young wrestle three times since being excommunicated from Nexus and all three times he’s lost to Regal.

David Hart Smith vs. Tyson Kidd: SUPERSTARS BLOWOFF! Smith gets generic music #18 while Kidd gets generic music #23. Kidd has black and grey short tights; Smith has gone to a Bulldog-esque white with red and blue look. All pink has been eliminated. Kidd tries a go-behind but Smith switches into an armbar. They yell at each other and Kidd tries a kick but Smith steamrolls him. DH Smith hits a nice trapping release belly-to-belly suplex and clotheslines Kidd to the floor. On the floor, Smith rams his head into the apron and PRESSES Tyson back into the ring. Corner clothesline by Smith and a shoulderblock; he misses a charge on the opposite side and Kidd step-up enziguris the back of his head, sending him to the floor. Back from commercial, Kidd has a reverse chinlock and follows up with a running dropkick and applies the side headlock this time. Kidd flips out of the back suplex counter and they floor each other with double clotheslines. When they get to their feet they slug it out with Smith coming out on top; he hits a big boot. Smith hits a nice Northern lights suplex gets two he follows up with a leg drop for two again. Kidd manages him to the floor however and tries a baseball slide but it is blocked; off that Smith rams him into the apron face first. Smith tries to suplex him from the apron to the floor, from the floor; Kidd wriggles loose and stomps his hand on the apron. Both guys wind up on the floor where Kidd runs into a powerslam. Back in the ring, Smith gets two. Smith tries a Sharpshooter but they are both Harts so they know the counters. Kidd hits a spinning fisherman’s neckbreaker for two. Kidd now tries the Sharpshooter; he gets it, but read the previous two sentences. Smith makes the ropes. Kidd hangs Smith off the top rope from the apron. Kidd tries a springboard sunset flip but Smith paid attention to his father at Summerslam 1992 and gets three. Post-match Smith wants a handshake but gets slapped in the face; this feud must continue. 7/10 Good match; why did they put it on Superstars? Lots of counters and unique offense and they even managed to work a famous match involving family members into the finish. Keep this feud going!
OVERALL 6.5/10 Good entertaining show this week; WWE Superstars always is. I have said this before, this is where they hide the good wrestling matches each week.
