JTG
vs. Tyler Reks:

New announcer Jack Korpela sits with Matt Striker tonight. Reks starts off dominating in the corner but misses a corner charge and gets dropkicked. Reks catches him with a spinebuster to slow the pace down. He tosses JTG into the ring post and hits a short-clothesline. Reks applies a seated double chicken wing; Reks fires him into the ropes but JTG slide uppercuts him (like Goldust) to counter. Reks comes back with a big boot but misses the knee drop. JTG punches out of the corner and hits a spinning reverse elbow, a 360 diving clothesline and a dropkick. JTG pulls out FUZZY DICE from his pants and tosses them into the crowd. Throwing dice; I wonder if Ashy Larry is watching. He follows up with the Mug Shot for two. Reks goes for a running spinebuster but JTG slips over into a sunset flip for two. Reks trips JTG off the second rope and hits the burning hammer DDT for three.

Winner: Tyler Reks @ about 5:30

Rating: 2/10 Spirited squash; Tyler Reks is really starting to look a lot like Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean. JTG probably got a little too much offense in.

NXT Season 4 Rookies are shown

Trent Barreta vs. Curt Hawkins:

This would be the rubber match of their Superstars series which is tied 1-1. Hawkins tells Barreta he is not on his level so Barreta slaps him and clotheslines him. Knee drop by Trent and a side headlock takeover. Barreta continues to dominate with a hurracanrana; then, back into the side headlock. Curt gains the upper hand by countering a corner float-over and flinging Barreta over the turnbuckle to the floor, hitting his face on the steps on the way down. Ouch. Back from commercial Curt has a side headlock on Barreta in the center of the ring. Barreta flips out of a potential backdrop suplex and nails a step-up enziguri. Trent builds momentum with a flying forearm and a corner elbow; Barreta springboards into a seated missile dropkick for two. Barreta goes for the Gobstopper but Hawkins avoids and sends Trent for a flip off a clothesline for two. Hawkins goes for the Taste of Pain but Barreta flips out of it and finally nails the Gobstopper… for two. Hawkins blocks the Dudebuster DDT and sends Barreta to the apron then Barreta backdrops Hawkins to the floor. Trent hits an Asai twisting senton to Hawkins on the floor. Back in the ring Barreta gets two. Hawkins avoids the DDT again, Trent pushes off the Taste of Pain again and Barreta nails the springboard Dudebuster DDT for three.

Winner: Trent Barreta @ about 8:20 (broadcast)

Rating: 7/10 Spiffy match that involved a lot of counters of each other’s finishers. Unless you watch Superstars a lot you really do not know what those fishers actually are; despite that, it was still highly entertaining.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. Zack Ryder:

Poor Ryder; anyone else notice that Ezekiel Jackson’s music is the Brawl for All theme with rapping over it. Mr. Punk makes an astute observation that Big Zeke’s entire Titantron™ entrance is him beating up Zack Ryder. Zack starts off with a headlock; that goes as well as you’d expect and Ryder is on his ass. Jackson applies a headlock and steamrolls Ryder. Ryder tries to take the leg out with dropkicks but Big Zeke clubs him down. Ryder uses the eyes to get some breathing room and hits a second-rope missile dropkick. Ryder mounts him with knuckles and drops a knee that segues into a front facelock. Ryder tries a second-rope clothesline but just bounces off of Ezekiel. Big Zeke is mad now so he clotheslines the hell out of him and hits the Book of Ezekiel for three.

Winner: Ezekiel Jackson (duh) @ about 4:00

Rating: 1.5/10 Squash central, cross street squash avenue in the city of squash. Actually, Ryder got a few more moves in this time and did not look like a total doof.

A nice video package featuring Kofi Kingston set to S.O.S.is shown.

They preview the TLC PPV featuring shots from the SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 video game; I mentioned this for Survivor Series with Wade Barrett. The shot of Alberto Del Rio is CLEARLY a CAW; makes it look a little silly.

Raw Rebound: focuses on the Miz/Randy Orton/Jerry Lawler/Michael Cole fiasco; for the rest of the show check out 411’s WWE Raw Report or “On the Marc” 12/06/2010 Monday Night Raw Review from my website.

Eve Torres vs. Alicia Fox:

Divas main event this week; Eve should wear those gold tight short shorts for the rest of her life. Eve flips off Alicia’s back and lands a few arm drags into an armbar. Eve misses a springboard corner roundhouse kick so Alicia splats her by the hair; then slams her on the back of her head by the hair. Mr. Punk’s commentary is hysterical; typing some of it won’t do it justice, it’s all in the delivery. Alicia chokes in the ropes. Mr. Punk has called Scott Stanford every different first name in the book BUT Scott. Reverse chinlock by Alicia turned into a sleeper when Eve gets to her feet. Eve flips her off and applies her own sleeper with a body scissors. Alicia counters with a Gunn-slinger backbreaker for two. Mr. Punk: “whatta maneuver”. Eve counters Alicia coming off the ropes with a dropkick twice followed by a bicycle kick and a clothesline. Alicia grabs Eve’s leg to stop her momentum and hits her ridiculous bridging Northern Lights suplex for two. Alicia goes for a vertical suplex but Eve flips over into a bridging neckbreaker. Nice counter! Eve ascends the turnbuckles and hits a nice moonsault for three.

Winner: Eve Torres @ about 6:45.

Rating: 6.5/10 Pretty good main event this week the middle portion was a little slow when Alicia was on offense. Who knew Eve could wrestle this well since she’s been buried in three minute Diva six-women tag matches on Raw.

OVERALL 5/10 The “actual” matches were entertaining; the squashes accomplished what they set out do although Tyler Reks’ was not as definitive as Big Zeke’s. Trent Barreta and Curt Hawkins are pretty good in the ring; would like to see them wrestle a few different superstars though. Eve and Alicia put on a fun main event. Split it right down the middle.
